My 36-year nursing career was spent mostly in the Critical Care area in St. John’s, Carbonear, and British Columbia, with a sojourn teaching in Iqaluit. The last 20 years I worked as a Clinical Trials Coordinator for health-related research. I am now retired, having survived breast cancer twice and live with secondary bilateral arm lymphedema. Growing up in a small fishing community with a large extended family (as in >90 first cousins), it was part of our nature to help out and be involved in the community. Becoming a Board member of LANL then just came naturally!
I am married, with one daughter and three stepsons and their families. Our precious grandbaby Layla arrived in late 2019 and we have two precious teenage grandchildren living in BC.
